TotalEnergies i Citroen

Fill up with confidence, fill up with peace of mind with TotalEnergies lubricants. Optimizing performances of CITROËN’s cars since 1968.

2018: Celebrating 50 years

The association between Citroen and TotalEnergies took place in the late 60s, when TotalEnergies started to develop a lubricant for the DS to eliminate the problems of ignition and fouling.

Today, the partnership between the two companies is industrial and global, and covers technology, trade, training and motorsports.

Research and Development

CITROËN and TotalEnergies have made research one of their top priorities. Since the beginning of the partnership, TotalEnergies' engineers have consistently focused their research on the development of high-performance lubricants for CITROËN engines. The joint work from TotalEnergies and CITROËN R&D teams has resulted to a special range of lubricants which helps protecting your engine and reducing CO2 emissions: QUARTZ INEO FIRST.

Industry

Since the start of their partnership in 1968, TotalEnergies  has supported CITROËN's industrial development on five continents by providing a wide range of automotive lubricants, including engine oils, greases and suspension liquids (LDS). Since 2012, QUARTZ INEO FIRST 0W-30 oil is the reference oil for the original equipment used in most CITROËN cars.

Sales and Engineering

From the very first days of their teamwork, TotalEnergies has contributed to the success of CITROËN with its logistic, commercial and technical support. TotalEnergies not only manufactures high-performance lubricants, it also provides product training and specific promotional and communication tools for the Citroën sales network.

Motorsports

The power of the partnership between TotalEnergies and CITROËN is particularly evident in the field of motorsports: from the 1969 Rally to the extraordinary World Rally Championship 2012 – at the end of which Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena won their 9th title – and Citroen won their 8th victory in the Manufacturers' World Championship.

Both brands have won an impressive string of successes in this astonishing saga. The events have allowed TotalEnergies to test its lubricants under extreme conditions and ensure optimal performance for CITROËN vehicles.

TotalEnergies and CITROËN also won 3 years in a row the WTCC, since they have started to compete in 2014.

2017 is a year of new challenge: getting back in the WRC competition with the new C3, symbol of the brand's commercial offensive.
